Last week, as I wrapped up the sixth edition of The Breakthrough Weekend with another amazing group of leaders and entrepreneurs, one of them asked me a question that really hit home:

“How do we keep the momentum from this weekend alive?”

It was a moment that made me reflect on everything I’ve learned over the years about building and sustaining momentum. If I had to summarize it in one line, it would be this:

momentum quote

When we understand how to tap into the mysterious energy that momentum brings, we can sustain it for long periods of time. Even more exciting, we can access a state of effortless productivity that feels almost like destiny itself is at play.

There’s something magical about the way momentum works—once it’s in motion, it propels you forward with a force far greater than the effort you initially put in.

Breakthrough Idea of the Week

Momentum = Focused Intention x Time x 'God'

I first remember reading about the Momentum Formula by Dave Ramsey and ever since I did, it stuck with me because it put words to patterns I have seen repeat itself in my own life and business.

As I shared with the group, momentum isn’t just a product of hard work—it’s the result of aligning several key factors. Here’s a formula that helps make sense of it all:

1.

Focused Intention (Fi): Momentum starts with clarity. Whether you’re working on growing your business, improving a relationship, or achieving personal goals, success begins with a focused intention. It’s about knowing exactly what you want to create and committing to that vision.

2.

Time (T): The most overlooked ingredient of momentum is time. No matter how focused or driven you are, momentum needs time to build. Like a flywheel, it’s hard to push at first, but once it starts spinning, it accelerates rapidly. The key is to remain patient and consistent.

3.

‘God’ (G): This is the X factor—the mysterious energy that seems to show up when we need it most. Whether you believe it’s divine intervention, universal energy, or pure chance, there’s always an element of creation that’s beyond our control. By allowing space for this force, we open ourselves up to unexpected opportunities and effortless progress.

Pause & Reflect

1.

Can you think of a time in your life or business when you felt carried by momentum? What intentional actions led to that?

2.

How can you stay focused on your intention while letting go of the need to control every outcome?

Here’s how you can actively sustain and build on the momentum you’ve already created:

1.

Reaffirm Your Intention: Start by reminding yourself of your core goal. Write it down and get specific. What’s your vision? What are you aiming to achieve? The clearer you are, the stronger your intention.

2.

Create a Daily Momentum Ritual: Momentum thrives on consistency. Choose one small, daily action that aligns with your goal and commit to it every day. Even five minutes of focused effort compounds over time.

3.

Embrace the Unseen: Recognize that you don’t have to do everything. Leave space for the unknown—be open to “coincidences” or opportunities that come your way. Sometimes, momentum works behind the scenes in ways we can’t predict.

4.

Celebrate Small Wins: Each step forward fuels more momentum. Take time to celebrate your small victories. It keeps your energy high and reinforces that you’re on the right path.

Exercise: This week, identify one small action you can take consistently to feed your momentum. Then, take note of any unexpected “help” that shows up along the way—whether it’s new connections, insights, or opportunities. You’ll be surprised how quickly momentum picks up once you’re intentional about it.

Final Thought

Momentum is a force multiplier that can take small breakthroughs and make them massive. It doesn’t require us to be pushing hard all the time—it asks for focus, patience, and a willingness to allow things to unfold in their own time. Trust the process, and you’ll find that the hardest part of keeping up with momentum is simply staying present and aligned with where it’s taking you.

As you move forward this week, keep your focus clear, give your efforts time to compound, and stay open to the help that will inevitably come.

Keep playing your Infinite Game,
Coach Sid

P.S. If today’s message about keeping momentum alive resonated with you, share it with a friend who might need a reminder to trust in their own momentum. Let’s grow together!
